ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

Crnjanski High School was founded in 2002 and as a private non-profit co-educational day school. It has established the set of standard which makes it unique and trustworthy; some of them are school without a ringing bell, non smoking campus, regular periodic evaluation and self evaluation and developing environmental responsibility through various projects.

Starting with 2006/7, Crnjanski High School has introduced a most prestigious program of education, The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, thus becoming the first national school in Serbia authorized to teach it.

It is a rigorous, two year pre –university academic program, intended to prepare students for entering universities and studying abroad.

About the International Baccalaureate

The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a non-profit educational foundation, motivated by its mission,focused on the student.

Our four programmes for students aged 3 to 19 help develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world.

Founded in 1968, we currently work with 3,557 schools in 144 countries to develop and offer four challenging programmes to over 1,090,000 students aged 3 to 19 years.

What is the Diploma Programme? 

During the two year period a student studies six subjects, chosen in accordance with his/here preferences and aspirations. By the end of the year two, the student is to take the exams in these six subjects, then assessed externally by the authorized examiners. In order to obtain the full diploma, student also has to complete the Extended Essay, written in the subject chosen by the student, Theory of Knowledge (TOK) course, aimed at developing critical thinking in students and forming a coherent point of view, 150 hours creativity, action and service (CAS program) encouraging students to be involved in sports, artistic pursuits and community service work. The full IB Diploma is recognized by universities all over the world, even by the most prestigious one.

Group 2: Languages B: English, French, German

Group 3: History, Geography, Economics, Business and Management

Group 4: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Studies

Group 5: Mathematics, Math Studies, Computer Science
