PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE ERASMUS+ PROGRAMME IN TENERIFE

INTERNATIONAL TRAINING ON VIOLENCE PREVENTION AND SOCIO-EMOTIONAL LEARNING IN EDUCATION

A Spanish language teacher at the “Crnjanski” Educational System, Nora Jusufspahić, participated in an international professional development training within the Erasmus+ programme, held in Tenerife from February 22 to 28, 2026.

The training focused on the prevention of peer and cyber violence, as well as on the development of socio-emotional competencies in education. Participation was carried out through the engagement within the Association of Spanish Language Teachers of Serbia (APES), where Nora is an active member and secretary, contributing to the advancement of professional practice and international collaboration.

During the programme, teachers and educational professionals from various European countries exchanged experiences and examples of best practice, with a particular focus on preventing peer and digital violence, fostering empathy, improving communication, and developing non-violent conflict resolution skills.

The knowledge gained and practical teaching methods will be implemented in everyday classroom practice, with the aim of creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment in which every student feels valued and empowered.
